Aim:

This programme is ideal for anyone who is, or will shortly be, affected by organisational change and is appropriate for employees operating at all levels and across all functions. It includes a focus on why it is human nature to resist change and how this can be successfully overcome.

The format is very interactive and delegates are encouraged to apply what they are learning to real life situations in the workplace.

The change process – what is changing? The reasons for change and how it can be implemented.  What does it mean to you?

Creating a positive climate for change when human nature is to resist – communicating intentions, dealing with uncertainty and doubt.

Planning the stages of change.  What are the barriers?  How can they be overcome and what needs to be incorporated into the plan to facilitate this?

Initiating the start of the change process.  How to effectively monitor on an ongoing basis and identify any interventions needed.

Contributing to change – how to communicate and influence effectively.

Problem solving – analysis, brain-storming and decision making to identify the best course of action.

Reverse Brain Storming – the ‘right brain’, creative way to identify possible solutions

Influencing others to be open to change – recognising the benefits.

Creating an empowered climate – building trust and giving support, encouraging open and constructive communication, maintaining task achievement, gaining commitment.

Building and maintaining personal credibility whilst change is in progress.

Consolidation and follow up – benefits to be achieved, how change is monitored, how successful was its implementation?

Post-implementation review – what worked, what could have been better and overall, was it a success?  How to gain valuable learning opportunities that can be applied to future change.
